We’ve recently created a new category of hampers on our website containing products for visitors looking for cake and/or biscuit hampers. It features lots of gifts geared towards a friend or family member with a sweet-tooth. So far our cake range includes carrot cake, fruit cake, brownies and tiffin and our biscuit range includes flavoured shortbread and giant cookies.
Why we've created a cake and biscuit hampers section on our website
This category has been created because it’s of a similar theme to our core product lines of cream and afternoon tea hampers but suitable for those who are perhaps looking for something other than scones and cream and might want to enjoy cake or biscuits and tea instead. Cake hampers are a nice alternative to a birthday cake and unlike heavily decorated cakes won’t get destroyed in the post. As for biscuits, everyone in Britain loves biscuits and Devon is lucky enough to have some great artisan biscuit producers.
Our cake and biscuit producers
The majority of our cakes are produced by Mrs Gills Country Cakes of Tiverton. Established in 1988 in the heart of Devon, Mrs Gills is a small bakery producing everything by hand. They have a reputation for high quality earned by using only the finest ingredients which include local free range eggs, English butter & flour to produce their award winning cakes.
Teoni’s are our main biscuit supplier. They create unique collections of delicious handmade cookies, biscuits and shortbread using the finest natural ingredients, each handpicked for the superb quality and flavour. All their biscuits are impeccably packaged by hand into attractive little boxes.
Other products we include in our cake and biscuit hampers
We include products such as fudge, macaroons, flapjack and chocolate truffles in with our cakes and biscuits making a perfect gift for a sweet toothed friend or family member.
As usual all our hampers come with free delivery and include a gift card, the message for which can be personalised at checkout. The current range of cake / biscuit hampers varies in price from £20 to £55 but the range often changes and will be increasing in the near future.
