Can I order a hamper for delivery on a certain day?
Absolutely! You can schedule your hamper up to 4 months in advance. During checkout, you’ll see a calendar where you can select your preferred delivery date.
Need a gift in a hurry? We’ve got you covered—order by 1pm for same-day dispatch.
Why haven’t I received a confirmation email of my order?
Your confirmation email should arrive within 5 minutes of placing your order. If you don’t see it, please check your spam or junk folder just in case.Still nothing? Get in touch with us and we’ll make sure everything is sorted.
Will there be receipts or invoices within the hamper?
As many of our hampers are gifts, you’ll never find any receipts or invoicing inside the box – just a traditional Devon Heaven hamper with your personal message.
I want to add additional items to a hamper. Can I do this?
You can personalise any hamper with thoughtful extras from our Create Your Own section. There’s plenty to choose from, so take a look and make it yours.
Can I make a change to my order?
Yes, you can! Just email us with the details of any changes you’d like to make. We’ll do our best to accommodate them.Please note: if your order has already been packaged for dispatch, we won’t be able to make changes at that stage. Here’s a quick link to our Contact Form.
Can I cancel my order?
Yes, you can cancel your order, up to 24 hours before dispatch.Once an order has been prepared for dispatch, we’re unable to cancel it because we use fresh produce in our hampers.
How do I order multiple hampers to different addresses?

How long will my Cream Tea last?
We recommend enjoying your cream and scones within 4 days of despatch for the best taste and texture.

How should I store the cream, cheese, pasties and scones?
When your hamper arrives, please refrigerate the clotted cream, cheese, and pasties straight away to keep them at their best.Scones are best stored in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
Will my pasties be ready to eat?
Absolutely, Yes! Your pasties are handmade daily but travel frozen for freshness, arriving chilled and ready to eat or to keep in the fridge until hunger strikes!
Heating advice: You can eat them cold, but for a warm, comforting treat, simply reheat in the centre of a preheated oven at 180°C (160°C for fan ovens) for 15–20 minutes.
Please do not re-freeze your pasties, and for the best taste, enjoy them within 4 days of despatch.
If I Order Alcohol, Will Glass Bottles Be Safe in Transit?
First things first: you must be 18 or over to place an order that includes alcohol.
As for safety, we’ve got it covered! Each bottle is snugly wrapped in a recyclable mesh sleeve and surrounded by our paper-based packing straw for extra protection. While we can’t control every step of the delivery process, we make sure your Devon Heaven hamper leaves us securely packed and ready for its journey.
How is my Hamper packed and delivered?
Every hamper is packed with care by hand – just as we’d do for friends and family. We use a sturdy, eco-friendly box, hand-stamped with the Devon Heaven logo for a rustic West Country feel, and add recyclable packing straw to keep everything snug and secure on its journey to you. During warmer weather, we include an ice pack to make sure your clotted cream stays perfectly chilled. And because many of our hampers are gifts, we never include any invoicing inside the box – just the treats and your personal message. It’s our way of ensuring your cream tea arrives fresh, beautifully presented, and with the planet in mind.

What delivery date should I choose if my hamper is for a special occasion?
If your hamper is for something special—like a birthday, anniversary, or a big celebration—we recommend choosing a delivery date the day before.
Why? Our cream teas stay fresh for at least 4 days after despatch, so planning for delivery the day before means your hamper will be there in plenty of time, ready to enjoy without any last-minute stress.
A little extra planning goes a long way to make sure your special moment is perfect!
Why have I received different items in my hamper?
We work with small, independent producers to bring you the very best of Cornwall and the West Country. Occasionally, a product may be in short supply. When that happens, we’ll substitute it with a similar item of equal or greater value—always with quality in mind.
I already placed my order but forgot to add something—can I still do this?

What do the gift cards look like?
Each hamper includes a beautiful postcard featuring some of our best-loved places in Devon. You can see the postcards here, view postcards. For every postcard, we share a little about the scene so you can feel connected to the place. On the reverse, you’ll find a charming postcard-style stamp and space for your personal message, just as though you’d sent it yourself. It’s a thoughtful touch that makes every gift feel truly special.
Create Your Own Hamper
Is ‘Create Your Own’ the Same as Adding Extras?
Not quite! With Create Your Own, you have complete freedom to build a hamper from scratch – from the packaging to the treats inside. Want ten chocolate brownies and a pack of fudge? No problem. Or maybe a basket full of cheese and chutney? The choice is yours.
Adding extras works a little differently. You start with one of our lovely pre-designed hampers and simply add a few extra touches – perhaps some coffee sachets with a cream tea, or a bottle of prosecco to make a birthday hamper sparkle.
Both options are designed to give you flexibility, so whether you want full control or just a little upgrade, we’ll make sure your gift feels perfect.
How many items fit into a box?
As many as you like! When you build your own hamper, you can choose as many goodies as you want, and we’ll select a suitably sized eco-friendly box to keep everything safe on its journey to you.
The only exception is when you choose one of our wicker options, as these have a set capacity. As a guide:
- Red-Trim Wicker Tray – fits around 6–8 items and is beautifully cellophane-wrapped, so we don’t recommend adding more.
- 14” Lidded Wicker Basket – holds roughly 8 items.
- 18” Lidded Wicker Basket – can fit around 18–20 items.
If you’re unsure, just get in touch – we’ll happily advise or find an arrangement that works perfectly for your gift.
Why is there a delivery charge for a bespoke hamper?
Great question! Our courier partners work with us on set parcel weights for our pre-designed hampers, which helps us keep delivery costs low and predictable.
With bespoke hampers, we can’t guarantee the weight or size in advance because every box is unique – so we need to pass on a small part of the delivery cost.
It’s one of the reasons we offer our ready-made range for convenience and value, but if you’d love something truly personal, we’ll make sure it’s worth every penny.
I love one of your products. How many can I order?
Welcome to our little Devon community – we’re so happy you’re here! Because we work with small local suppliers, we don’t always hold huge stock. We prefer to bring items in regularly for freshness and quality.In most cases, ordering extra is absolutely fine, but if you’re asking for something like 200 jars of our strawberry preserve, we might need a few days to have another batch made.If you’re planning a big order, just get in touch first – we’ll always do our best to make it happen.
Do I still get a free gift message with my bespoke hamper?
Absolutely! Adding your personal gift message is simple: build your hamper your way and simply pop your message in at checkout, and we’ll do the rest.
Discount Codes
Can I use my new customer discount code for any product?
Yes! You can use your new customer discount code on any of our full-price hampers or individual products. However, discount codes cannot be applied to sale items, delivery or products that are already discounted.
I received a discount code in a newsletter or on Facebook or Insta, but it doesn’t apply at checkout. Why?
Promotional discount codes often have expiry dates, which will be listed with the code. Additionally, some promotional codes may only apply to specific products or collections. Please make sure to read the description provided with the code.

Can I use more than one discount code together?
We’re sorry, but discount codes can’t be combined. Each one is meant to be used separately—so feel free to save the extra code for your next order!
Vouchers
How does the recipient of the voucher place an order?
Great question! We’ve made the process simple and easy to follow:
- Go to our Redeem a Gift Voucher page.
- Select Add to cart.
- Choose a delivery date (please note: Saturday delivery costs extra).
- Enter your voucher reference – this tells us which hamper to send.
- Proceed to checkout.
- Enter your contact details.
- Quick Tip: Billing address isn’t required—just tick “Same as shipping address.”
- Complete your purchase – the total will show as £0.00.
- That’s it! We’ll take care of the rest.
How long is the voucher valid for?
Our vouchers are valid for 6 months from the date of purchase.
Special for gift givers:If you purchase a voucher between October and December, we’ll date it 6 months from Christmas Day. This gives your recipient plenty of time to choose the perfect moment to enjoy their Devon Heaven hamper.
How is the voucher sent to the recipient?
Your voucher code will be printed on our beautifully designed postcard, along with your personal message.
We send all gift cards via Royal Mail First Class, so they’ll typically arrive within 1–2 working days.
Why don’t you offer digital gift cards that can be used on your site?
We’re with you on this! This feature is currently in development. Soon, you’ll be able to purchase a digital voucher for a cash amount rather than a preset hamper. That way, your recipient can choose anything they fancy.
We’re also working on a customer account login section, so recipients can:

Delivery
Delivery Quick Facts?
We pride ourselves on being transparent in all circumstances, so we’ve added the important stuff right at the top—the things no one likes to talk about, but everyone needs to know!
Next Day Delivery
We’ll always do our best to get your hamper to you quickly, but please note that next-day delivery isn’t guaranteed. Courier delays can happen, so we recommend ordering at least one day before your event to be safe.
Safe Place Delivery
If no one’s home, DHL will try to leave your parcel somewhere safe (or on the doorstep if it’s secure). We suggest letting the recipient know, as we can’t take responsibility for parcels that aren’t collected promptly.
Extreme Weather
We take great care when packing your order, but sometimes extreme weather can cause delays that are out of our hands. To help keep your items at their best, we include ice packs—but they can’t completely protect against very hot conditions or if the recipient isn’t home to receive the delivery promptly, even if the parcel is left in a shaded spot.

During the summer months, we include Sorba Freeze ice packs to keep perishable items like scones, cream, cheese, and pasties at their best.Important: These ice packs are not for consumption, so please inform the recipient.

Do you deliver internationally?
We’ve thought about it, but our humble Cream Teas just aren’t great long-distance travellers.For now, we only deliver within the UK to make sure everything arrives fresh and in perfect condition.
Which courier service do you use?
We use DHL for most deliveries to ensure a fast and reliable service.If DHL doesn’t offer next-day delivery for your location, we’ll send your hamper via Royal Mail instead—so it still arrives in great condition.
How can I track my order?
You’ll find your tracking number in the dispatch email we send once your order is on its way.

What happens if no one is available to receive the parcel?
Don’t worry! Our courier will do their best to leave your parcel in a safe spot. This is at their discretion, and they’ll usually choose somewhere secure and convenient.
DHL can leave parcels in a safe place (or on the doorstep if it’s safe to do so). We recommend letting the recipient know, as we can’t take responsibility for parcels that aren’t collected promptly.
Do you add ice packs to your hampers?
Yes, we do! During the warmer months, we include Sorba Freeze ice packs in hampers containing perishable items like scones, clotted cream, cheese, and pasties.
A few things to note:
- Ice packs are not for consumption—please let the recipient know.
- For sustainability, we don’t use ice packs in colder months.
- We typically add them from mid-June to early September to keep everything at its best.
Please keep in mind: While we include ice packs to help keep your items at their best, they can’t fully protect against extreme heat or if the recipient isn’t home to receive the delivery promptly—even if the parcel is left in a shaded spot.
I’ve received a notification from the courier saying my order is delayed. Will this affect the quality of any perishable items?
No need to worry! We pack our hampers so everything stays fresh for up to 2 days in transit. If your delivery is just one day late, your items should still arrive fresh and ready to enjoy.
Please note: We can’t accept responsibility for delays caused by extreme weather conditions during transit.
How will I know that my order has been delivered?
Once your parcel has been successfully delivered, you’ll receive a confirmation email from the courier.
Packaging
How will my hamper be presented and what packaging is used?
The produce will be displayed in a cardboard postal box, along with aesthetically pleasing natural paper shred to protect the items and to visually provide a wow factor for the recipient on opening. A gift card featuring 1 of 4 iconic landmarks from the county will be included and only then the box is sealed with a branded box seal, our stamp of approval! This packaging is 100% recyclable.
How is the Red Trim Wicker Tray Packaged?
If you choose our red-trim wicker tray, your hamper will be carefully packed with recyclable packing straw for a snug fit. The tray is then beautifully wrapped in cellophane by hand, with all excess neatly tucked underneath for a clean finish. To keep everything secure during delivery, the wrapped tray is placed inside one of our sturdy, eco-friendly boxes. It’s a stunning, thoughtful gift that looks as good as it tastes. Plus, the wicker tray is reusable – a lovely keepsake for years to come.
What size are the lidded Wicker Hamper baskets?
Our beautiful wicker hampers come in two sizes: 14-inch and 18-inch (measured diagonally inside the basket). Each is crafted from split willow, featuring a full willow lid and a sturdy split willow base. Extended, buckle straps make it easy to secure a generous selection of treats.
As a guide, the 14-inch basket comfortably holds around 8 items, while the 18-inch can fit approximately 18–20 items – though this depends on what you choose. If you’re unsure, just get in touch and we’ll be happy to help. Whatever your choice, we’ll find a way to make it perfect.
