Why isn't the address shown in my shipping notification email exactly the same as the address I entered?

We enter the postcode and the first line of the address into the courier’s system. The rest of the address is auto-filled by their system.

Do you enclose invoices within the delivery?

As most of our hampers are purchased as gifts delivered straight to the recipient, we don’t enclose an invoice within any orders. We can email an invoice for any businesses requiring one.

How do you order multiple hampers to different addresses?

It is not possible to add multiple shipping addresses and gift card messages to a single order. Instead you will need to place each order separately. If you are ordering over 10 hampers you can order all the hampers in one transaction and then email us the separate delivery addresses and corresponding gift card messages (please check with us first).

What hampers are suitable for Vegetarians?

See our article on this here. Almost everything is suitable for vegetarians but fewer products are suitable for vegans.

What delivery date should I select if my hamper is for a special occasion?

If your hamper is intended for a special occasion, such as a birthday or anniversary, we recommend that you select the preferred delivery date as the day before. Cream teas can typically be enjoyed for at least 4 days after dispatch, and planning for delivery the day before an occasion ensures that it will have arrived in time.

What’s the shelf life of clotted cream?

When the cream is produced it has a 19 day chilled shelf life and is blast frozen by Langage Farm within 2 days of production. This means the cream should have another 17 days shelf life after thawing, but because we can’t be responsible for the conditions of transit we always recommend using it much sooner than this (within 5 days). A recommended ‘best before date’ is included in the hamper.

How is clotted cream kept cool during transit?

We leave the cream blast frozen until dispatch, and send it in an insulated packet with an ice pack. This allows the cream to thaw slowly during transit, and upon arrival it should be placed in a refrigerator as soon as possible.

Is clotted cream safe to eat if left at room temperature for a few days?

As stated above clotted cream actually has quite a long shelf life, but because we can’t guarantee the delivery conditions, we give a much shorter ‘best before date’ of 5 days from dispatch. Sometimes, if delivery can’t be made, the cream will be left overnight at a sorting depot, this is unlikely to affect the cream but given we cannot guarantee the conditions of transit all orders are at your own risk.
